Opened on River Street in 1987, and still there.
Richard Oakes opened the office with one desk and a bicycle. His daughter Philippa runs it now with Tom Penrose, who joined in 2004.
Dear neighbour,
My father opened this office in 1987 because he thought the old houses round here were being sold like boxes. He walked every one of them before he priced it, and he wrote the details himself.
We still do it his way. Tom or I will come and see your home, walk the boundary with you, and write to you with a figure and the sales we used to reach it. Then one of us will be at every viewing until it is sold.
